Cleaning your Slushee Machine daily is essential to not only ensure your customer's safety but also to ensure the quality of your slushie. When performing tasks such as cleaning and troubleshooting, disassembly of the unit may be utilized.

Here are the steps properly do this:

Step 1: Drain Beverage & Switch Off Machine

• Turn cooling to OFF selection.
• Turn auger to OFF selection.
• Disconnect the hopper lid lamp cord(s) and make sure to remove the lids. *If models have autofill, disconnect fill hoses and level probe from the hopper.

Step 2: The hopper lock plunger

Depress the hopper lock plunger and lift the hopper up slightly. After that, you may now pull forward to remove.

Step 3: Pull the auger from the cooling drum

Step 4: Remove the cooling drum seal from the rear of the drum

Step 5: Take precautions, especially with the faucet valve

• The faucet valve is under spring tension which can hurt you.
• To reduce the tension, spread one side of the handle first, then the other, and disconnect from the hopper
• Make sure to carefully slide the faucet valve up to remove the spring and faucet seal.
• Extra care should be taken when handling the seal to prevent damage.
• Do not fold the seal as this will cause damage to the sealing surface.

Step 6: Remove the auger nose

• Remove the auger nose bushing from inside the hopper and disassemble the machine for cleaning.
• Ensure that you are careful with the surfaces during cleaning.
• Deep scratches could cause leakage around the seal.

Step 7: Sanitize!

Step 1: Install the seal(s)

Turn ON augers and cooling function to desired settings.

Step 2: Align the auger shaft(s) with the auger(s)

• Align the auger shaft(s) with the auger(s). 
• Push the auger(s) as far as they will go and rotate so the flat face of the auger shaft is aligned with the flat face of the auger nose.

Step 3: Install auger nose bushing into inside front of hopper.

Install auger nose bushing into inside front of hopper.

Step 4: Install hopper(s)

Thoroughly rinse the hopper(s) and install over the auger(s) and cooling drum(s).

Step 5: Reassemble Hopper

Slide into place and push down until the hopper lock plunger(s) snap into place. On models with autofill, reconnect fill hoses and level probe to hopper. Set the lids on the hopper(s) and plug in the hopper lid lamp cord(s).

Step 7: Reassemble Faucet Valve

• Position the faucet seal and return spring in the faucet valve. 
• Slide the faucet valve assembly into place on the hopper. 
• Press down on the valve to compress the spring. 
• Position the faucet handle over the faucet valve one side at a time and snap into place on the hopper.

Step 8: Assemble the drip tray

• Lastly, make sure to reassemble clean drip tray.

Step 9: Return to operation

Turn ON augers and cooling function to desired settings.
