Most orders are shipped within 1 to 5 business days with the exception of custom or special order items. Please call us for exact lead times on items you are purchasing to guarantee delivery. Culinary Depot ships with all national carriers and based on the items you purchase, Culinary Depot will choose the method of delivery that will be cost efficient and most effective. In the event that there is a unexpected delay in the shipping or processing of your order, we will notify the customer via e-mail. For orders with multiple items, they may be delivered at different times.
Please contact us immediately if you would like to ship your order to a different address than you indicated at checkout. Once an order ships, there are fees associated with changing the shipping address that would need to be collected before the change can take effect. The cost of changing the shipping address will depend on the shipping method and number of shipments. If an order has already left our warehouse before the shipping address change is made, we cannot guarantee that it will arrive at the new location. If a carrier tries to deliver a shipment several times and is unsuccessful, your order will be returned to us and treated as a standard return.
Packages that are shipped ground take between 3 to 10 business days to deliver.
Certain items are marked as free shipping on the product page, shopping cart and checkout. These items ship free within the 48 states. If there additional items in your cart that do not come with free shipping, there will be charges for those items only. Shipping to HI or AK will be an additional charge and a customer service agent will call you for shipping lead time and quote after you complete checkout.
Your delivery will come by a national carrier. By law they are only required to deliver to a loading dock. If you don’t have a dock and your item is heavy, you will need to take your item off the truck, so please have someone available. If you need 24-hour notice before delivery, please let us know. If you do not have a loading dock and will not be able to assist the driver with a heavy item, please request Lift-Gate or Inside Delivery (see below). For larger items, we highly recommend that you pre-measure your doorways to make sure it will fit through. You must be able and available to receive your merchandise when the truck arrives, especially if delivery arrangements have been made. If the truck needs to return another day, storage and/or re-delivery charges may apply.
Free Freight is free shipping to anywhere in the United States, except Hawaii and Alaska, unless specifically mentioned.
Lift-gate delivery is where the freight carrier uses a lift to lower your equipment to the ground. If you do not have a loading dock and lift-gate is required please let us know at the time of order so we could arrange it for you at an additional cost (unless specifically noted otherwise). Please also note that Lift-Gate Delivery is to curb side, and it is the purchasers’ responsibility to bring the unit indoors. If you need help to get your item inside you might want to consider our Inside Delivery service (see below).
Inside Delivery is when the carrier will move your larger equipment into your building. This is assuming that it’s on the first floor and the carriers don’t have to carry your merchandise up or down any staircase. This service is available at additional cost and must be requested at time of order.This service is primarily for larger items. Please contact us in advance if you have questions whether you need this service or not.
We also provide expedited shipping in certain cases for additional charge. Expedited orders will be processed by Culinary Depot with-in 12 business hours. Please note that even if your order is on expedited shipping, Culinary Depot cannot be held responsible for delays caused by the manufacturer or freight carrier.
All freight amounts listed are for commercial deliveries. Some carriers charge $50 additional for residential deliveries. (Free freight items are always free freight.)
Culinary Depot cannot guarantee shipping time (or manufacturing time, when item is not currently available). If you require your equipment on a set date, please order early and allow ample time for the delivery. (If you specify your required date we will work with you to meet your deadline.)
Do not sign for or accept any package without opening the box & inspecting for damage! We suggest that you always mark "POTENTIAL HIDDEN DAMAGE" on the delivery receipt unless you are 100% sure that your item is in perfect condition. Otherwise, the freight company will dismiss any claim for concealed damage if your item was indeed damaged during shipment.
If any damage is clearly visible, either don’t accept the item or note any packaging or product damage on the bill of lading. In either case, please contact our customer service dept. at (888) 845-8200 option 2
If a unit purchased by Culinary Depot Inc. is not working up to spec, the client is to contact us immediately with the Model & Serial number of the unit, proof of purchase, date of installation, and all pertinent information supporting the existence of the alleged defect.
Culinary Depot’s sole obligation for units sold and within the warranty period is to submit the information to either the manufacturer or a local authorized service agent for the client. Any further service obligations is to be worked out between the client and the authorized agent.
Manufactures warranty to the original purchaser of every new unit and all parts thereof, to be free from defects in material or workmanship, under normal and proper use and maintenance service as specified per manufacture and proper installation and start-up in accordance with the instruction manual supplied with each unit. Warranty obligation applies as specified by each manufacture, ranging from 30-days to 5-years coverage depending on the item, starting at the date of delivery. Any part covered under this warranty that is determined by an authorized service agent to have been defective within the warranty period is limited to the repair or replacement, including labor charges, of defective parts or assemblies. The labor warranty shall include standard straight time labor charges only and reasonable travel time, as determined by the manufactures. (See other list for coverage details)
Warranty does not cover standard wear parts which include door gaskets, bulbs. Warranty also does not cover issues caused by improper installation or lack of basic preventative maintenance which includes regular cleaning of condenser coils. Service requests are covered during normal business hours only.
Neither Culinary Depot nor any manufacture is responsible for any type of loss or damages arising from food or product spoilage claims whether or not on account of product failure.
Compressors determined by the factory to have been defective within the extended time period will, be either repaired or replaced with a compressor or compressor parts of similar design and capacity.
The extended compressor warranty applies only to sealed parts of the compressor and does not apply to any other parts or components, including, but not limited to: cabinet, paint finish, temperature control, refrigerant, metering device, driers, motor starting equipment, fan assembly or any other electrical component, etcetera.
Most commercial units bear no liability for parts or labor coverage for component failure or other damages resulting from installation in non-commercial or residential applications. (See other list for coverage details)
