How to Properly Clean Robot Coupe Immersion Blender

When it comes to prepping, Robot Coupe makes some of the best commercial food processorsmixers, and blenders in the food service industry and commercial kitchens. They can mix a wide range of different-sized ingredients easily to make a variety of food items such as delicious soup, pureed sauces, baby food, and even body butters. From avoiding bits in the soup when making them in professional kitchens to making butters for hospitality services, this handheld blender for consumer use needs regular cleaning. Regular maintenance is essential to keeping your ultimate kitchen tool running well.

How to Clean Robot Coupe Immersion Blender

General Cleaning Procedure

  • Step 1: Clean the Motor Housing. Do this by wiping the immersion blender down with a damp cloth.
  • Step 2: Clean Tube, Bell & Blade. You can do this by immersing the bell and tube in warm water and running the mixer for about 3–5 seconds to clean or by using a detergent.
  • Step 3: Clean Whisk Holder & Whisks. You can do this by hand or by dishwasher.

Robot Coupe MP & CMP Power Mixer Cleaning Procedure

After using either the MP or CMP immersion blender models, they should be cleaned thoroughly for perfect hygiene purposes and safety. If you're cleaning aluminum parts or aluminum blender attachments, use a non-abrasive metal polish and cleaning fluids intended for aluminum. For plastic parts, do not use detergents that are too alkaline (e.g., containing too much caustic soda or ammonia) and use a non-corrosive cleaning agent. For more detailed cleaning instructions and maintenance tips, check out this user manual.

Unplug the power cord of the machine and follow the instructions below.

Step 1: Clean the Motor Housing

  1. After using the Robot Coupe immersion blender on a hot mixture, let the bottom of the tube cool in cold water before removing it from the bell. If the housing and handle have any electrical components, never submerge them in water.
  2. Before you begin cleaning, dilute the detergent in warm water (1 part detergent to 3 parts warm water). Follow the instructions on your detergent package.
  3. Soak a cloth lightly in diluted detergent. Make sure the cloth is not dripping when you soak it.
  4. Clean the motor housing and motor base by wiping it down with a damp cloth. Make sure the water isn't going to get into the vents or contact any electrical components.
  5. Once the motor housing is clean and free from dust, use another cloth to dry off the motor.

Step 2: Clean Tube, Bell & Blade

When cleaning the tube and stainless steel bell, you can use a simple or complete cleaning procedure. You must first employ the proper blade disassembly of the accompanying whisk before anything. You may need a disassembly tool for this but most of the time, the removable blade is easy to disassemble because it is designed for user comfort. Simple cleaning: Immersing the removable bell and tube in hot water and run the mixer for about 3–5 seconds to clean.

  • WARNING: do not submerge the motor housing in water. Just the bell and bottom portion of the tube.
  • Deep Cleaning: Dilute the dish soap in warm water before using it. Follow the instructions on your detergent package. Unplug the power cord from the wall socket before washing the bell. Remove the bell from the tube and then the knife from the tube. Clean the tube and blade thoroughly in the diluted detergent using a cloth. Dry with a separate cloth before reassembly

Step 3: Clean Whisk Holder & Whisks

  1. First clean the whisk holder using a soft cloth lightly dampened in soapy water. Don't immerse the holder in water or clean it in a dishwasher.
  2. The whisk can be cleaned in a dishwasher or by hand in a kitchen sink.
  3. Robot Coupe recommends cleaning the whisks to perfection by removing the whisk ejector.
  4. Use a separate cloth to dry them
  5. Tidy Storage is also important

If the stick blender becomes accidentally immersed during use, follow these steps.

  1. Do not touch the blender, the container, or the worktop.
  2. Unplug the blender from the wall socket.
  3. Lift the blender out of the preparation.
  4. Tilt the blender to allow as much of the liquid to drain out as possible.
  5. Do not switch the blender back on, as there is still a risk of electric shock.
